Montville Pet Parents, Inc (MPP) is an all-volunteer, non-profit corporation dedicated to building a kinder world for homeless pets. Formed in 2005 by concerned area residents concerned with the conditions at the Montville Animal Shelter facility built in the 1970’s MPP is committed to improving our animal shelter,
MPP’s goal is to raise money toward building a new shelter in Montville Township. We are funding this effort though Grants from foundations and donations from individuals and corporations.
MPP also helps the homeless pets currenlty at the Montville Animal Shelter by providing funds for spay/neuter and the care of sick & injured animals.
Our members also help the community and the Shelter by:
• Volunteer at the shelter to provide care and socialization
• Create & distribute flyers highlighting animals at the shelter
• Place advertisements in local papers for individual animals
• Donations of supplies to the shelter
• Members have adopted dogs and kittens from the shelter
• Increased awareness of the need for a new shelter
Ways to Help: Capital Campaign: Consider creating a living legacy in the new animal shelter. Donation In Memory of a Pet or Loved One:
We will be happy to send a note acknowledging a donation in memory of a pet or loved one. Please provide the following information with your request: - name of the honored pet or loved one - your message - name and address for the acknowledgment.

Membership: Become a member of MPP and enjoy working to help homeless animals and some great people.
Depending upon your interest and time commitment there are many ways to get involved such as fundraising committee, grant writing,
writing newsletters or volunteering at the shelter, and many more.
Support the Montville Animal Shelter If you are looking for hands-on exposure to the animals you maybe able to help with daily care, socialization or dog walking. You must sign a release at the Health Department and then contact the Montville Animal Shelter for their current needs (973-334-6410).
If you cannot volunteer but want to help the animals you may donate any of the following items:
- Towels, blankets or sheets (no knitted or crocheted items please)
- Kitty litter
- Dog, Cat and kitten food
- Cleaning Supplies (bleach, fabric softener, laundry soap, etc.
